Parks and Playgrounds

Possibility Playground

September 16, 2009

Possibility Playground is Ozaukee County’s first universally accessible playground for children of all physical abilities. Located in Upper Lake Park, Port Washington, the playground was built by the community in an old-fashioned barn-raising September 16-21, 2008.

This playground isn’t just for kids with a disability, it’s for everyone. Why not show up and celebrate, let the kids burn off some energy and maybe have an opportuinty to teach your children a little more about inclusion at the  very first Annual Build/Birthday Party on Sunday September 20th, from 1-4 at the playground.

The playground is in Port Washington, at Upper Lake Park, visit the webiste for more information and directions. www.possibilityplayground.org.

July 21, 2009

Nothing looks more attractive than water on a hot, humid day. This could be the perfect time to get your family near the water for some fishing fun.

Parks offering fishing include:

South Shore

Scout Lake

Mitchell Park

Holler

Brown Deer

There are many more! For a complete listing, see the Milwaukee County Parks website here.
